TRU training house takes gold at award ceremony

KAMLOOPS — For another year, the Thompson Rivers University training house has been recognized with an award.

In a news release, TRU’s School of Trades and Technology says the announcement was made at the annual Canadian Home Builders Association Central Okanagan awards in Kelowna.

The Okanagan Housing Awards of Excellence acknowledge the best in design, development, construction and marketing of residential and commercial products.

TRU has received more than 24 awards over the years.

Students in the TRU trades programs build a dream home each year that is raffled off as an annual fundraiser for the YMCA and YWCA.
