Cuglietta of Kamloops one of 25 nominees for Hobey Baker Award

The 23-year-old captain for Lake Superior State University leads the Western Collegiate Hockey Association in goals with 17 in 24 games played, also good enough for second in the NCAA. He’s added seven assists this season.

In 133 games over four seasons with Lake Superior State University, Cuglietta has 42 goals and 41 assists for 83 points.

Cuglietta joins Canucks’ first-round draft pick from 2018, Michigan defenseman Quinn Hughes, who is also a nominee for the Hobey Baker Award. Hughes has three goals and 19 assists in 22 games this season with the Wolverines.
