GILLIAN ANDERSON BOARDS THE CROWN: Gillian Anderson will play Margaret Thatcher in Season 4 of The Crown, according to the Sunday Times. The critically acclaimed Netflix series recently had John Lithgow playing Winston Churchill. Season 3 will feature Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II after Claire Foy‘s successful run as the English monarch. No word on the premiere date of Season 3.
BRENTON THWAITES AND LILY SULLIVAN TO LEAD I MET A GIRL: Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and DC Universe‘s Titans star Brenton Thwaites has signed on to co-lead I Met a Girl with Picnic at Hanging Rock‘s Lily Sullivan. The Australian comedy-drama about a schizophrenic musician who falls for a mysterious woman (who may be a figment of his imagination) began shooting today.
HBO’s FOLKLORE SETS PREMIERE: The new anthology horror series from HBO, Folklore, is set to bow February 1st. The six-episode hour-long series takes places across Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, with each show focusing on the folklore and legends native to each place.
