The Duke’s Car Crash

The 97-year-old Duke of Edinburgh may have retired from public life, but he’s still driving his Range Rover. Prince Philip was pulling out of the driveway of the royal family’s Sandringham Estate when he and another vehicle collided.
Eyewitnesses tell the BBC that they helped Queen Elizabeth‘s husband out of his car, and he was conscious but very shaken. Two people in the other car were treated for minor injuries, police told the BBC.
The Archbishop John Sentamu tweeted out a prayer in support of the duke. Other observers on social media shared their relief that the duke was unhurt, and then urged for additional prayers for “someone to take away his car keys.”
