Canadian teen Langevin finishes career-best second in slopestyle World Cup
FONT ROMEU, France — Canada’s Philippe Langevin earned his first career podium finish on the freestyle ski World Cup circuit, earning second place in the slopestyle competition on Saturday.
The 17-year-old from Mont-Tremblant, Que., skied to a score of 90.27 in his second run of the final. Alexander Hall of the United States won the event with 92.11 points and Switzerland’s Andri Ragettli was third with 89.06.
Langevin scored 87.63 points in his first run.
His previous best career result in eight slopestyle events had been a 10th-place finish on Nov. 23 in Stubai, Austria.
