BRADLEY COOPER MAKES BAFTA HISTORY: The Favourite emerged with 12 BAFTA nods, making it the most-nominated film by far, but A Star Is Born director Bradley Cooper walked away with a BAFTA record. A Star Is Born landed seven nominations, five of which were for Cooper in the best film, actor, best director, adapted screenplay and original music categories, something that has never happened before. “What we think is a first is that Bradley Cooper has been nominated for producer, director, writer, actor and composer,” Emma Baehr, BAFTA’s director of awards and membership, told The Hollywood Reporter. Alfonso Cuaron nabbed six nominations for Roma, and Spike Lee earned his first-ever BAFTA nod for BlackKklansman.

CHRIS PINE DISCUSSES 1984: The hotly anticipated Wonder Woman 1984 is in the final days of production in London. Director Patty Jenkins tells Variety: “I think that every time you do something, it’s for the first time. Wonder Woman 1984 is different “because we all know each other, and that world is understood a lot more.” Chris Pine, who died in the original, wouldn’t say much about his role, but he did drop a few nuggets. “This one is a little different for me tonally,” he says. “The tables are turned, and I’m more of the deer in the headlights.” Think the sequel will live up to the hype?

JORDAN PEELE MOVES US RELEASE BACK: Universal Pictures is moving back the release of Jordan Peele‘s Us to March 22nd, reportedly in a bid to build buzz following its selection as the opener of the South by Southwest Film Festival. Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke and Elisabeth Moss star in the film, which follows a family confronted by doppelgangers.

CLARA ROSAGER JOINS KEIRA KNIGHTLEY IN MISBEHAVIOUR: Danish star Clara Rosager has signed on for the Keira Knightley-toplined Miss Worldfilm Misbehavior. The film is set against the 1970 Miss World competition in which the Women’s Liberation Movement invaded the pageant and disrupted the proceedings.
