VERNON, B.C. — A crash south of Vernon Sunday killed one person.

RCMP say just after 3:00 p.m., three vehicles collided on Highway 97 near Birnie Road, taking the life of a woman.

“Upon officers arrival, good Samaritans were administering first aid to those injured, however one woman died as a result of her injuries. Other injured parties were transported to the nearest medical facility,” says Const. Kelly Brett.

Brett says witnesses say one vehicle was driving dangerously just before the crash occurred, with the investigation into the cause ongoing.
