Interior Health gives Vavenby water system the all clear

VAVENBY, B.C. — Vavenby residents have been given the all clear to use domestic water again.
In a news release, the Thompson-Nicola Regional District says the ‘Do Not Use’ notice put in place by Interior Health last weekend has now been rescinded.
All users of the system can resume using their water as normal, the TNRD says.
After a semi-truck crashed into the North Thompson River on Dec. 30, causing a diesel fuel leak north of the water system intake, water samples were taken from various locations.
