Operation Red Nose in Kamloops gave more than 1,300 rides during holidays

KAMLOOPS — It was a record year for the Operation Red Nose campaign in Kamloops.

The organization posted on its Facebook page that 1,313 rides were given out during the 2018 holiday season, with 180 rides on New Year’s Eve.

That night surpassed the group’s goal of 150 rides for the evening, with 20 volunteer groups getting people home safely.

Kamloops finished first in the province, and raised $33,000 toward PacificSport.
