KAMLOOPS — A man charged with several offences in connection to the execution of a search warrant downtown last month will stay behind bars — at least until next week.

Charles Gerald Patrick, 62, is one of two suspects in the case, and he’s facing charges of possessing a prohibited weapon, possessing ammunition for the purposes of committing an offence, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

This is in connection to a lengthy, nearly year-long investigation by Kamloops RCMP.

Patrick is set to seek bail in the case on Jan. 7. Court documents show Patrick spent the holidays behind bars, after he had been wanted by police for weeks.
