PRINCE RUPERT— The 12,000 people who live in Prince Rupert, B.C., still have no clean drinking water, and there’s no word on when they’ll get it back.

For three weeks now, the water supply has been infected with cryptosporidium, which can can cause fever and gastrointestinal distress.

That means all water has to be boiled before it can be used.

The city says there’s no way to remove the cryptosporidium. It’s just a matter of waiting until it disappears.
