Kamloops real estate sector suffers letdown in ’18 after record year in ’17

KAMLOOPS — Year-end numbers for 2018 show a decent year for Kamloops real estate, even if it was a significant decrease from 2017.

According to a news release from the Kamloops and District Real Estate Association (KADREA), a total of 2,975 homes changed hands last year.

That’s an 11 per cent decline from 2017.

But KADREA President Doren Quinton notes 2017 was a record year for home sales, and the 2018 total is still well ahead of the city’s 10-year average.
