Aquaman Owns the Box Office

Aquaman snagged $51.55 million in its second weekend of domestic release, a drop of just 29% from its $72.7 million opener. Over 10 days, the Amber Heardand Jason Momoa toplined action flick has nabbed $188.79 million, and will likely exceed $200 million domestically by New Year’s Eve, Forbes predicts. If so, it will surpass A Star Is Born as Warner Bros.‘ biggest domestic release in 2018. Worldwide, Aquaman has grabbed about $750 million.

Disney‘s Mary Poppins Returns, meanwhile, held the No. 2 spot, bringing in $28 million. Paramount‘s Bumblebee rounded out the top three, snagging $21 million.
