Half a dozen car accidents across Kamloops on first day of snowfall
KAMLOOPS — Crashes across the city came with the first significant snowfall of the season for Kamloops Fire Rescue, but things could have been worse.
Platoon Captain Mike Haines says there was just one motor vehicle incident on Christmas Day and none yesterday.
However there were six crashes in the city and two just outside of Kamloops on Boxing Day, which was the first significant snowfall of the winter season.
“It was eight accidents total so I don’t think that’s too bad for a weather change like that, so people are driving safe,” Haines says.
