Miley Cyrus Feminist Spin on Christmas

Miley Cyrus put a feminist spin on the classic holiday song “Santa Baby” for her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night.

Miley teamed up with Fallon and Mark Ronson for a cover of the holiday tune and she said she had some issues with the lyrics.

“Santa baby, I don’t need any fancy jewelry. Not me. I’ve got something else in mind,” Miley sings in the updated version. “Don’t want diamonds, cash or stocks. Nothing that comes in a box. No more fluff, I’ve had enough. And I can buy my own damn stuff.”

Miley also sings that a girl’s best friend is “equal pay.”

“Santa baby, I’d love to know my ass won’t get grabbed at work, by some ignorant jerk,” she continues, while Fallon and Ronson accidentally put the ornaments in an unfortunate configuration. “Tell the dirtbag to put away the chimney tonight.”
