Christmas Amalgamated delivers hundreds of food hampers over the weekend

KAMLOOPS — Christmas Amalgamated delivered hundreds of food hampers over the weekend in its biggest push to make sure everyone has food on the table this Christmas.

The non-profit will be delivering turkeys and other food items until Dec. 23. 

Over the weekend several community groups helped ship out the food hampers across the city, but the greatest help has come in the form of the adoption program. 

“Many of our families were adopted and were taken care of by church groups and individuals and companies and all sorts of people who helped us,” said Sally Whitson of Christmas Amalgamated.
