Man charged in connection to downtown business raid will stay behind bars
KAMLOOPS — A former Kamloops man charged in connection to a nearly year-long investigation ending in a business raid last week will remain behind bars — for now.
Court documents show 35-year-old Cameron Cole appeared for a bail hearing today (Dec. 10), but he’s been remanded into custody and will appear for a fixed-date hearing in one week.
Cole is facing 12 charges in connection to the investigation, and police say he turned himself in to Kamloops RCMP the evening of Dec. 7. Cole now lives in St. Albert, Alberta.
Last week, police executed a search warrant in a unit at 1485 Lorne St. East downtown. Potential explosive devices — which were determined to be benign — were found during the raid.
