KAMLOOPS —Those looking to top off their holiday decorating can now begin picking out a real tree in Kamloops.

As of this weekend, the Woodward Christmas Tree Farm in Westsyde is open for the season.

Owner Debbie Woodward says its already been a busy couple of days, with the tree farm opening up, and the Kamloops Wine Trail Open House festivities at Privato Vineyard and Winery.

“Super busy day, the tractor ride is going, the hay wagon. Santa is here and we’re doing lots of photos with Santa, and all the elves are out to greet all the kids.”

Woodward says despite some competition from artifical trees, the trend seems to be going back to natural.

“That’s never really an issue,” She explains, “Actually most families, especially younger families are wanting to revert back to a real tree.”

The farm offers four different kind of Christmas Trees, including Scotch Pine, Douglas Fir, Blue Spruce, Green Spruce, and Con Color Fir, all ranging from 49 to 63 dollars.

Next weekend, Woodward says they’ll also start offering pre-cut trees, starting at 25 dollars.

The tree farm is open every day from 10 am til 4pm until December 21st.
