RCMP arrest wanted man from Barriere in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP took no chances today while arresting a wanted man from Barriere.

Staff Sgt. Mat Van Laer says in a release, around 11 a.m today (Nov. 25) officers attended the 300 block of Waddington Drive to arrest a man wanted on a number of charges.

The arrest took place without incident, and the man, who is not from Kamloops, is now in police custody.

RCMP say in the statement they wanted to reassure the public in the area that may have been distracted by the police prescence.
