WAS MR. BIG SET TO DIE? According to Origins, a Sex and the City-focused podcast hosted by James Andrew Miller, Mr. Big, played by Chris Noth, was going to die in the third film. That film famously was stalled after Kim Cattrall opted out (in part because she said co-stars Cynthia Nixon, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis weren’t “nice” to her). Big is Parker’s character Carrie’s husband. Miller claims he saw an early version of the script that never was: “They point to the fact that it calls for Mr. Big to die of a heart attack in the shower, relatively early on in the film, making the remainder of the movie more about how Carrie recovers from Big’s death than about the relationship between the four women.” (People)
