VICTORIA —  A light response rate so far in the electoral reform ballot in B.C.

Elections B-C says six-point-five per cent of voters have returned their ballots in a provincewide referendum on electoral reform.

The ballot asks voters to choose between keeping the existing first-past-the-post voting system or move to proportional representation.

The elections administrator says it’s closely monitoring the rotating strikes at Canada Post and the voting period may be extended depending how the situation develops, there has been no change to the deadline at this point.
