RAW VIDEO: Men suspected of poaching wild sheep near Spences Bridge

SPENCES BRIDGE, B.C. — The B.C. Conservation Officer Service would like the public’s help identifying two men suspected in poaching a yearling Bighorn Sheep lamb near Spences Bridge.

The men were spotted by a motorist on Sunday (Nov. 11) at about 10:00 a.m. just north of Spences Bridge, only 50 meters off the Trans Canada Highway on the north side of the road.

The motorist caught some brief video of the suspects, and it shows them with rifles in hand and both in a shooting position.

After the men shot the animal, they left it in the field and fled the area.

The CO Service responded finding the lamb and two .308 caliber casings nearby.

Shooter description:

Male
45-55 years old
Wearing dark or black jacket
Wearing dark grey or black pants

Description of Suspect #2:

White male
40-50 years old
Light-coloured hair
Wearing brown or camo sweater with bright logo
Wearing scarf or similar garment around his neck
Wearing grey or green pants

Anyone with information on the poaching is asked to call the provincial RAPP hotline at 1 (877) 952-7277.
