Kamloops ranked 27th on Canada’s most dangerous cities list
KAMLOOPS — Since last year, Kamloops has dropped a few spots on Macleans Magazine’s most dangerous cities list, coming in at number 27.
Five B.C. communities were in the top 30 this year, a stark contrast from last year’s list when three were in the top 10 and six more in the top 20.
The report ranks communities according to the Crime Severity Index, which is a Statistics Canada measure of all police-reported crime, which takes into consideration both the volume and seriousness of offences.
The 2017 data is the latest available and it was released on July 23, so Macleans was able to rank each community across the country.
