BTS and Charlie Puth bromance continues
After multiple social media interactions, the bromance between BTS and Charlie Puth blossomed into a series of performances at the 2018 MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards (MGA).
Held on Tuesday night at the Namdong Gymnasium in Incheon, right outside of Seoul, Puth and BTS’ youngest Jungkook performed the former’s “We Don’t Talk Any More,” which Jungkook has previously covered. Puth later joined BTS for a performance of their Top 10 Hot 100 single “Fake Love.”
Along with appearing as performers at the event, BTS also won five trophies, the most of anyone in attendance. They won the two grand prizes, known as daesangs, for Best Artist of the Year and Best Digital Album of the Year for Love Yourself: Answer, and also won Best Male Dance Performance for “Idol,” Genie Music Popularity Award, and Best Male Group. The group’s producer Bang Si-hyuk also won Producer of the Year.
Puth, who has two upcoming concerts in Seoul on November 7th and 8th, was awarded the Best International Artist prize.
