Mickey Mouse celebrates 90 years on the big screen
Meghan Trainor, Tori Kelly and Zac Brown Band were among the artists on hand for Mickey’s 90th Spectacular – a celebration of the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse’s debut on film, which aired Sunday on ABC.
Trainor performed Randy Newman’s “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” from Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story, accompanied on piano by her “best friend” – her dad Gary Trainor – and the West Los Angeles Children’s Choir.
Kelly performed an acoustic version of “Colors of the Wind,” from the Disney animated film Pocahontas, and Zac Brown Band covered “The Bare Necessities,” from The Jungle Book.
The special also featured new music from Josh Groban, who sang “Gifted,” from his latest album Bridges; and Luis Fonsi, who performed “Impossible,” from his upcoming album. K-pop boy band NCT 127 performed their latest single “Regular.”
