Seventeen Canfor employees injured in bus crash north of Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — A bus crash north of Prince George last night is under investigation.

Canfor Corporation says in a statement that 17 of its employees were injured as a result of the accident and they were taken to hospital. All of the employees had been discharged from the hospital at roughly 10:00 p.m. Nov. 1.

The charter bus was contracted by Canfor to transport employees from Prince George to the Polar Sawmill, and Canfor states its focus is on supporting its injured employees and their families.

Prince George RCMP responded to the scene after the bus slid off the road approximately 20 kilometres north of Prince George on Highway 97.
