Man arrested in connection to violent Sicamous home invasion
NANAIMO, B.C. — A man who was allegedly involved in a violent home invasion in the Shuswap is facing six charges in relation to the incident.
Earlier today, Oct. 30, Nanaimo RCMP arrested a 37-year-old man in relation to a violent home invasion involving two men and a woman last week, when a 59-year-old terminally ill woman was allegedly held at gunpoint and kicked in the face.
Police said last week that Sicamous RCMP is investigating the home invasion, when two men allegedly armed with handguns forced their way into a Kappel Street residence and held the woman with terminal cancer at gunpoint during the invasion.
Crown counsel has approved six charges against 37-year-old Robert Christopher Bomba, including forcible confinement, disguising face while committing an offence, assault causing bodily harm, break and enter, failing to comply with probation and possession of stolen property over $5,000.
