BTS and Charlie Puth Will Perform

Oct 30, 2018 | 6:15 AM

Next month will see BTS team up with Charlie Puth for a joint performance at the inaugural MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards (MGA) on November 6th.

Held at the Namdong Gymnasium in Incheon, right outside of Seoul, it precedes Puth’s two concerts at Seoul’s Jamsil Stadium on November 7th and 8th. It has yet to be announced what BTS and Puth will be performing.

The collab isn’t actually all that surprising, given BTS and Puth’s long history of showing each other some major love on social media.

In 2017, the American singer liked BTS member Jungkook’s cover of his hit, “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” on Twitter. When Puth later wrote that he really likes BTS’ music, the music group quickly returned the love with a tweet that read: “We really like Charlie Puth’s music.”

Last year also saw Puth requesting for BTS to check its DMs (Direct Messages) on Twitter, which got fans excited about a possible collaboration.

The 2018 MGA is a music award show jointly organized by South Korean broadcasting service MBC Plus and online music store Genie Music.
