ORLANDO BLOOM TO READ BEDTIME STORIES TO KIDS ON THE BBC: In a move that will surely broaden the show’s fan base, the BBC has snagged Orlando Bloom to read We Are Together, a children’s story for the broadcaster’s Bedtime Story show on CBeebies. He joins Ewan McGregor, Tom Hardy, Chris Evans and Dolly Parton, who have also read for the show. The story will air on November 9th.

HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE CREATOR IS DONE WITH THE CRAINS: Netflix‘s The Haunting of Hill House is based on the Shirley Jackson novel of the same name, with some key changes. And the creator Mike Flanagan says he plans to expand the story, but without the Crain family that is central to the novel and season one. While season two hasn’t been greenlighted (yet), Flanagan tells Entertainment Weekly: “as far as I’ve ever been concerned with this, the story of the Crain family is told. It’s done.”

SPIDER-MAN SHATTERS PLAYSTATION RECORDS: Marvel‘s Spider-Man was the best-selling game of September, and garnered the biggest payoff for any PlayStation exclusive in history. Overall, it’s the seventh-largest launch ever by any game on any PlayStation platform, video game sales tracking service NPDsays. It’s the third-best-selling game of the year so far.

IMAX, SONY TO PARTNER: Following the box-office victory of Venom and Spider-Man: Far From Home, Sony is agreeing to send more Marvel superheroes to Imax screens. Under the agreement, Imax will show Spider-Man: Far From Home starring Tom Holland, set for a July 5, 2019, release; the upcoming Men in Black spinoff set to drop June 14, 2019; and the sequel to the 2017 hit Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, out Dec. 13, 2019, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Iron Man 2 was the first Marvel movie to land in Imax, and ever since, the studio and the movie theater have enjoyed mutual success.
