More than 21,000 B.C. cannabis sales recorded in first week of legalization
KAMLOOPS — The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (BCLDB) is reporting more than 21,000 cannabis purchases in the first week of legal sales in British Columbia.
According to a release, 4,014 individual sales were made at the Kamloops retail store, the only brick-and-mortar store opened in the province so far.
Demand has been steady at the store throughout the week, with passersby reporting lineups out the door days after the store opened.
Another 17,723 online sales were made through the province’s BC Cannabis Store website.
