KAMLOOPS — Today is the final day to skip the election day rush and vote in the advance polls.
Plenty of people could be seen coming and going from the polling station at Heritage House in Riverside Park this morning.
More than 1,200 voters cast an early ballot in the first two advance voting days.
And today, voters have their last chance to beat the rush.
“I just find that it’s not as busy, and I have other things I do on other days of the week,” said one voter. “That’s mainly the reason I come at this time. I like to come once the advanced poll is getting close to the end because the population is down. It gives me more time to do other things later.”
The polls opened at 8:00 a.m. and will remain open until 8 p.m.
On election day, voters will get the final say in who fills the mayor’s seat and eight councillor positions.
