Dozens line up in Kamloops for province’s first legal pot store
KAMLOOPS — More than 100 people lined up outside of the province’s first BC Cannabis Store in Kamloops’s Sahali neighbourhood this morning to get their hands on some legal pot.
Doors to the shop opened at 10:00 a.m. today, Oct. 17, after the much anticipated legal cannabis legislation came into effect. Kamloops City Council voted on the store opening during a meeting yesterday, with a unanimous vote and mayor Ken Christian declaring history had been made.
