SUN RIVERS, B.C. — A reminder for Sun Rivers residents: you do have an election coming up this weekend.

Mel Rothenburger has already been acclaimed as director for the Thompson-Nicola Regional District’s Electoral Area ‘P’, so residents won’t need to vote for that role, but two school trustee candidates are also running in the election.

Caroline Thompson and Diane Jules are running for area four of School District 73, with voting being held at the Chief Louis Hall at the Kamloops Indian Band.

Voting time is 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Oct. 20, and chief election officer Sharon Lyons is encouraging residents to vote for their rural trustee candidate of choice.
