Horgan warns of rocky cannabis rollout
VERNON, B.C. — BC’s premier doesn’t expect the rollout of recreational cannabis to be smooth sailing.
With the new rules taking effect in just under two weeks, John Horgan says this is new territory for everyone, and it will take time to figure out the province’s role to regulate and distribute it.
“I would suggest it won’t just be British Columbia that has challenges with this, it will be right across the country, but I expect a story a day from the challenges that flow from this.”
Horgan says while only one retail store will be legally able to sell pot come the 17th — a government outlet in Kamloops — people will be able to buy it online.
