TAYLOR SWIFT’S ‘CATS’ ROLE REVEALED BY ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER: Andrew Lloyd Webber is letting the cat out of the bag on Taylor Swift’supcoming movie role. Lloyd Webber’s Broadway musical Cats is getting its own movie adaptation slated for a December 2019 release. The Broadway legend is now offering details about which role the 28-year-old singer may take on. “She’s going to play one or other of the ‘Macavity’ girls,” Lloyd Webber told Vulture, referring to the characters Bombalurina and Demeter. In the stage show, “Macavity the Mystery Cat” is performed by both felines. However, fans will have to wait to find out more. Webber noted he’s “not sure yet” what part Swift will actually take. American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson will reportedly play Grizabella, while Ian McKellen will play Gus the theater cat. James Corden is also set to appear in the project.
ARIANA GRANDE LAUNCHING NEW IMMERSIVE ‘SWEETENER’ EXHIBIT: Ariana Grande is planning a new immersive exhibit inspired by her album Sweetener. A poster for Sweetener: The Experience, hosted by Spotify, says the “unique” exhibit will be taking place for one weekend only. “Come explore the world of the album, track by track,” it reads. Ariana confirmed the exhibit on Twitter after a fan tweeted her, “So sis is this Sweetener the experience an art exhibit with a room for each song or what??? Bc Issa concept!!” “Yes :),” Ariana responded. Further details have not yet been revealed.
ELLE KING RELEASES LIVE PERFORMANCE OF ‘NATURALLY PRETTY GIRLS’: Elle King has released a video of her live performance of “Naturally Pretty Girls,” filmed during a show in London. She delivers a raw, raspy performance of the track, on which she laments about how easy seem to be for girls who are born with good looks. In the video, Elle introduces the song as “one of my favorite songs off the record.” “Naturally Pretty Girls” will appear on Elle’s upcoming sophomore album, Shake the Spirit, due out October 19th. Elle kicks off tour dates in support of the album with a show on October 2nd in London, before heading to the States.
