Family of five loses two members in Williams Lake-area crash
WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — The BC RCMP has confirmed two people lost their lives in a three-vehicle crash approximately 20 kilometres north of Williams Lake Monday (Sept. 24).
Media Relations Officer Cst. Mike Halskov says it happened at around 3:00 p.m. on Highway 97.
“Upon arrival, it was determined that a southbound pickup with a lone driver crossed the centre line and collided with a northbound Toyota with a family of five and then sideswiped another vehicle that was following the Toyota,” he says.
“Sad to report that the driver of the Toyota and the nine year old child sitting in the backseat have died as a result of this collision.”
