UPDATE: Merritt RCMP capture wanted man

MERRITT, B.C. — Update: The Merritt RCMP have captured Glen Ukellett Shuter.

Staff Sgt. Lorne Wood says after receiving calls from the public saying he was in downtown Merritt, police were able to capture him after a short foot chase without incident.

Shuter will appear in a Kamloops courtroom tomorrow.

Earlier: If you know where Glen Ukellett Shuter is, the Merritt RCMP would love to hear from you.

The 38 year old man is wanted for a trio of offences, including break and enter.

“Mr. Shuter was charged with other property offences and gained his release on conditions that he has repeatedly breached and is now the subject of multiple new criminal investigations in the Merritt and Lower Nicola communities,” says Merritt RCMP Staff Sgt. Lorne Wood. “The Merritt RCMP are asking for the communities assistance in locating and apprehending Mr. Shuter.”

Shuter is described as:

  • Five feet eight inches tall
  • 140 pounds
  • Black hair and brown eyes
