Demi’s Mom Breaks Silence
Demi Lovato’s mom, Dianna De La Garza, is speaking publicly for the first time about Demi’s overdose back in July.
In an interview with Newsmax TV, Dianna recalls the moment she found out what happened and how she rushed the hospital with Demi’s sisters, Dallas and Madison.
“We got there as quickly as we could,” she says. “Dallas and Madison and I jumped out of the car at the emergency room and ran into the emergency room to be by her side. She just didn’t look good at all. She was in bad shape. But I said to her, ‘Demi, I’m here. I love you.’ And at that point she said back to me, ‘I love you, too.’”
Dianna credits her faith, as well as the millions of prayers from Demi’s fans, with helping her family get through the difficult time.
