Shelkie says police attended the scene and found him to be “impaired.”

“He claimed a case of mistaken identity. He thought he knew the girl and that is why he was calling out to her and following her,” she says. “After further investigation, it was found that the man has warrants out of the Lower Mainland. He was arrested and is in custody, waiting to go before a judge.”

Shelkie says the man is known to police.
