Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson Gush

Before Season 15 of The Voice kicks off later this month, coaches Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson sat down with each other to discuss their post-American Idol careers – and to gush over each other.

“I watched you win,” Jennifer tells Kelly in the exclusive video on Billboard. “You were my inspiration, and to think I did not win, and then to be able to sit here with you…”

“I think you won in life,” Kelly tells her. “Yeah, I think that’s what matters.”

They both talk about the different perspectives they can bring to the contestants, being that they’ve gone through a singing competition show themselves. Kelly won the first season, and Jennifer placed seventh in Season 3.
