BURNABY — IHIT has scheduled a news conference this morning at RCMP headquarters in Surrey to announce what it says are significant developments in the investigation into a murdered 13-year old girl.

The case involves Marrisa Shen, who was found murdered in Central Park in Burnaby July 19, 2017, hours after her mother had reported her missing.

IHIT Media Officer Cpl. Frank Jang wouldn’t comment on details of today’s news conference, which will take place at 10:00 AM.

Police video released earlier this year shows Shen holding a door open for a man as she walks into a Tim Hortons just after 6:00 PM.
