Vernon drug house targeted
VERNON — Two people have been arrested after RCMP issued a warrant on a suspected Vernon drug house.
Police say a 53 year old man and 52 year old woman were seen leaving a suspected drug trafficking residence in the 3400 block of 21st Avenue Thursday.
“Prior to 7:30 pm officers observed a male and female leave the residence in a vehicle, who attempted to flee from police by accelerating through a red light at the intersection of Highway 97 and 25th, Ave,” says Cst. Kelly Brett. “Police were able to contain the vehicle and the male driver and female passenger were taken into custody without further incident.”
Mounties later issued a search warrant on the residence, seizing a large quantity of drugs believed to be fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine.
