KAMLOOPS — A pickup truck driver sustained only minor injuries when he ran into the back end of a slow-moving semi this morning on the Coquihalla southbound near the Inks Lake brake check.
Platoon Captain Jim Gorman of Kamloops Fire and Rescue says the pickup driver had to be extricated from his vehicle after it hit the semi, going under the back end of the semi almost to the windshield.
But Gorman says the man sustained relatively minor injuries.
Gorman says they’re not sure if the driver was distracted, but for some reason didn’t see the semi in the slow lane until it was too late.
