Six arrested in Williams Lake drug, weapons bust

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — A major drug bust in Williams Lake.

Mounties there say six people have been arrested after officers searched a home on Soda Creek Road earlier this week.

The investigation began over the July long weekend.

“Police seized a variety of drugs suspected to be fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, testosterone, anndrol, numerous miscellaneous pills, drug paraphernalia and other evidence to support drug trafficking,” says North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson, who notes police also seized firearms, prohibited weapons and a large sum of cash.

She says the six accused, who have yet to be named, could face possible charges in connection with drug possession and trafficking, as well as firearms related offences.

The suspects will appear in court Dec. 19 in Williams Lake.
