Smoke begins to return to the area

KAMLOOPS — Despite the showers predicted over the next few days, smoky skies will continue.

Local smoke we’ve had the past few days is expected to develop into widespread smoke by tonight.

While visibility hasn’t affected flights at the airport so far today, that could change if heavier smoke settles in. 

The purpleair quality readings are creeping back up. They are in the average of 180- 190 range this morning, which is the area where everyone starts to feel some effects from the smoke.
