Kamloops flirts with weather record
KAMLOOPS — The scorching hot temperatures continue in Kamloops.
Environment Canada is calling for a high of 38 degrees today – just shy of the record 38.9 degrees it was this day in 1971.
“This is day nine of this prolonged hot spell, day three of the heat warning and today is likely going to be the hottest of this stretch,” says Meteorologist Matt MacDonald, who notes things will start to cool a tad tomorrow.
“There’s a forecasted high tomorrow of 36 degrees, so still plenty hot. And then Wednesday a few degrees cooler at 33.”
