SARAH JESSICA PARKER COMES OUT SWINGING FOR CYNTHIA NIXON: Sarah Jessica Parker delivered a strong message of support for her Sex and the City co-star Cynthia Nixon, as she runs for governor of New York on Gwyneth Paltrow‘s Goop podcast. “You don’t have to agree with her policy, you don’t have to vote for her, but certainly take the time before you criticize the fact that she’s boldly pursuing this,” Parker said. “She knew that when she did it, it was going to be a challenge but it’s been good, everyone agrees that she’s been good for the conversation in this city, they call it the ‘Cynthia Effect.’”
VING RHAMES HELD BY POLICE IN HIS OWN HOME: The Mission: Impossible – Fallout star Ving Rhames reveals that he was once held at gunpoint in home Santa Monica home. He shared the story Friday on SiriusXM‘s The Clay Cane Show. I open the door and there is a red dot pointed at my face from a 9-mm, and they say, ‘Put up your hands.’ Literally.” Police were responding to his neighbor who reported a “large black” man breaking in next door. Luckily, a police officer recognized him once he got him outside (not as an actor, but as a fellow parent with a kid on the basketball team). He said the incident was a wake-up call. “What if it was my son and he had a video game remote or something, and you thought it was a gun,” he mused. “Just like, I don’t know, Trayvon had a bag of Skittles.”
