BRITNEY SPEARS’S TEAM IS BANNING ALCOHOL BACKSTAGE: While Demi Lovato’s upcoming live dates have been canceled following the star’s relapse and suspected overdose on Tuesday – Britney Spears’ team has been taking no chances backstage on her current tour by strictly banning booze, according to Page Six. Britney recently finished her residency in Las Vegas and is currently performing her Piece of Me tour in the U.S. and will soon bring it to the U.K. A source at Radio City Music Hall in New York City said, “Britney’s team set strict guidelines that no alcohol at all could be served backstage, because they want to keep it away from her, and also many of her dancers are underage.” The source went on to say that this is the policy throughout her tour, which ends on October 21, 2018. According to Straight Shuter, Spears would allegedly have “advance people” who would remove alcohol from any hotel room that she stayed in, and that her team would not allow “shady characters” near her.

KATY PERRY WANTS TO BE AN ACTRESS: Katy Perry tells Australian radio station Nova 96.9 that once she wraps up her current Witness tour, she’s contemplating getting into acting. “It’s time for me to live my life on my own schedule and terms, so that may look like doing some kind of other class, or like, maybe I’d like to make a film in the future finally, doing a kind of separate thing,” she says. But she’s not looking to be dramatic or even the lead. Katy says she’d much rather be the “comedic timing best friend.” “I would do a comedy,” she says. “But it has to be in the vein of a Kristen Wiig or a Jenny Slate, super dry, a little bit of a dark comedy, like a Bridesmaids girl.” Katy kicked off the Australian leg of her tour on Tuesday in Perth. She wraps those dates up in Auckland, New Zealand on August 21.
