Singh Street, Halston Avenue to get facelifts

KAMLOOPS — A couple of road construction projects on the Kamloops North Shore are about to get underway.

According to the City of Kamloops, Halston Avenue will be resurfaced from Kingston Avenue west to Ollek Street.

That project will begin Wednesday, July 25 and is expected to last until September.

The city says access to businesses and pedestrian walkways will remain open during construction.

Not far away, another project will begin next Monday, July 30, to rebuild Singh Street between Ord Road and Parkcrest Avenue.

Singh Street will be closed to all but local traffic during that project.

Those using the Singh Bowl soccer fields are asked to use Parkcrest Avenue for access.

The Singh Street project is expected to wrap up this fall.
