Kamloops RCMP investigate park stabbing

KAMLOOPS — One man is in hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries following a stabbing.

Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says it happened Thursday afternoon adding police were notified after the victim showed up at a local medical facility last night seeking treatment.

“Police investigation revealed that two men had been attacked at Pioneer Park earlier in the afternoon,” she says. “The attacks are believed to be related to the drug trade.”

She says the second male victim was located and found to have minor injuries.
